Tone Issue

[edit]

I definitely think this article needs to be rewritten, the tone seems very juvenile - like a fucking 5th grade report on Bruce Springsteen, and not very encyclopedic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.245.131.92 (talk) 05:21, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know. I wrote all the other Springsteen tour articles, got blocked on Tunnel of Love Express and never finished that, and have never been able to mount the charge to tackle this one, which has got the most that needs to be said about it. I'll get to it someday, though. I will. Wasted Time R (talk) 05:32, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Final day of the tour

[edit]

The final day of the tour was not meant to be October 2, 1985. September 26 was rescheduled because of delays in Denver. Anyway to add this to the article? [1] --evrik (talk) 19:58, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please Help. Moved attendance figures by mistake. Now they are in Wrong Column. Frankfurt 15 of June 1985 53 000, Munich 18 of June 1985 37 000 and Milan 21 of June 1985 65 000

[edit]

Please Help correct so attendencance figures are in the right column. I noticed that 53 000 people in Frankfurt was not in the column for attendance but it was inside somehow. So I tried to make some change to make it appear. That made the Munich column of 18 th June 1985 of 37 000 people move. It Also made the Milan concert of 65 000 in attendance on June 21 move. Can someone please Help me correct this. I am very sorry for what happened. 213.89.143.63 (talk) 13:06, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

1988 Europe stadium shows a lot better than those of 1985

[edit]

Saw 2 shows in Gothenbourg Where Bruce did Everything wrong. To slow tempo the Worst versions of Darlington County Cadillac Fanch I have ever heard, long breaks between songs and sometimes killing a song like Glory Days by Talking 5 minutes after the opening riff completely destroying the song. To many slow songs not belonging in a stadium, an accoustic Johny 99, Shut out the light a bad Darkness on the Edge of town and a 8 minute speach before the river further lowering the Tempo. After the absolute worst Caddilac Ranch there is a 15 minute brak before Raiciing in the Street further lowers the tempo. Bobby Jean had never Been a favourite and Rosalita was just really awful. But the worst was that there was so much waiting between songs. After a long break Comes the extra numbers. An accoustic Cant Help Falling in love falls completely flat and there is No way Ramrod and a pretty bad Twist and shout can save the concert. I realise Gothembourg got the worst set lists on the whole European tour as well. Wanting to give the boss a second chance I go to see his 2 shows at the Olympic Stsdium in 1988. They were the fastest selling tickets in Swedish history. And boy am I glad I went. The band much much tighter in 1988 than in 1985. Bruce seemed to have No idea of how to handle stadiums in 1985. In 1988 the band was rocking a lot harder, They made the best versions I have ever heard of almost every songs but especially Cadillac Ranch is to today the 2 best versions I have ever heard of the song When I heard Them in 1988, light of Day, Glory Days, Born in The USA and Twist and shout also the best versions I have ever heard. No breaks between the songs going right into Esch other. The best 3 pack I have ever seen the hard Rocking Spare Parts into a brutal War followed by the best Born in the USA. Everything Bruce did wrong 1985 he did right 1988. Short speaches Where needed a lot better set list focusing on brutal rockn roll in 1988, instead of taking long breaks doing Slow songs and holding long speaches as he did in 1985. After the 1988 Concerts Swedish News papers could not believe Bruce was so much better in 1988 than in 1985. All the mayor Newspapers called the 2 1988 concerts at the Olympic Stdium in Stockholm the best 2 Concerts ever played in Sweden by any artist. 213.89.143.63 (talk) 06:28, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
