I am willing to put more work into this but would appreciate the assistance, please, of other editors with expertise in Russian and Soviet art and society. This article is difficult and boring to read, even as now broken up under headings, because it is merely a rote chronology of Ignatovich's career with a few quotations thrown in. He was a signifiant photographer and cinematographer and a leader and organiser in his field. There is no discussion of the reception of his work despite the long list of exhibition inclusions and publications. The article could be considerably improved, I believe, if Ignatovich's output in the separate media of magazines (correct titles and dates of which need correct identification) and of movies, were treated separately. The quotations could be more usefully employed in sections dealing with influences upon him and his impact on the media in which he worked. The magazines are connected to the politics of the Soviet era; summary and analysis of his contributions over time, and of his own political stance, would make that data more worthwhile in an encyclopaedia article.---Jamesmcardle(talk)23:03, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
