I noticed, in several articles about specific eagles, statements like "such-and-such is a 'booted eagle', having feathers on its tarsi".
If the term "booted" is widely used in this sense, we should be able to find some reliable references as examples.
I was intrigued by the classification of eagles into booted, fish, snake, and forest types. Would like to find some more references for this. Are there any eagles that don't fall into one of these categories?
Also, it might be useful to have a list of booted eagles. Do the booted species fall into any particular genera?
