Crediting his catch phrase's popularity
[edit]Collins' broadcast aired back in 2005, but we have seen boom goes the dynamite infused into popular culture in recent months. Can we really give Collins the credit for spreading this catch phrase (which I've been using quite often since I heard it on Family Guy), or should the credit go elsewhere? - There's nothing the slightest bit original about the phrase. Quite obviously, zillions of people had uttered it in all sorts of contexts many decades before Collins was even born. Since it's also an extremely vacuous phrase, the "credit" (or better, blame) for wide usage should go--if it must go anywhere--to a general intellectual torpidity.
