Restoration

[edit]

I have restored some content to the article, because the content is sourced to NPR, and also in part because the content removal created grammar errors. North America1000 21:18, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I feel that it is unique that the establishment serves its burgers only on wax paper, which is a rather rare way to serve food. It is also a bit of unique local yore, which is likely of interest to readers. As such, I have restored this content to the article. I have also added more sources to the article. North America1000 21:51, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
any evidence on how rare that is? DGG ( talk ) 02:14, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Kind of a moot point; the article doesn't make a rarity claim, and the association of that serving style with the place is reliably sourced. I don't see it as crucial, but if NPR thought it as completel characteristic of the place in the public mind, I'm not inclined to delete it, for the same reason we retain mention of the Manx cat as emblematic of the Isle of Man at the latter, even though this cat breed has had no demonstrable impact on the country's economy, history, etc. It's "trivia" in the same sense as Winona Ryder's parents names are in her bio article; it's not integral to notability, but it's not trivial in the WP-particular sense governed by WP:NOT#INDISCRIMINATE.  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  10:18, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm unhappy with the loss of the cue sports information; the details on this being a snooker and carom billiards (in the US, where both are rare) as well as pool venue were important from that perspective; not everyone cares about this as a restaurant/bar article.  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  13:22, 8 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Promotion

[edit]

Northamerica1000, hi, I came across this article when looking for cue sports adjacent articles to look to promote to GA status. I've done a bit of cleanup. Do you have any issues if I do a bit more research and then nominate for GAN? No problems if not. It's interesting it's had so much press about it's food, even recently. Hi Lee Vilenski − Go for it, and thanks for the message. North America1000 10:11, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
