Clyde Champion Barrow

[edit]

You have his middle name wrong, it’s CHAMPION. 2603:6081:8704:E000:34A6:BA39:C077:960F (talk) 18:30, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Clyde's birth name was Clyde Chestnut Barrow. He was known to use Champion at times, but his birth name was Chestnut. Mvferguson (talk) 05:25, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Barrow's death certificate, the last photo on this page, clearly states "Chestnut".

Clyde's escape -- needs correction.

[edit]

The portion of the article dealing with Clyde's escape is erroneous. It states that "Barrow was sent to Eastham Prison Farm in April 1930 at the age of 21. He escaped from the prison farm shortly after his incarceration using a weapon Parker smuggled to him. He was recaptured shortly after and sent back to prison.[17]" Clyde's escape was from the county jail in Waco, Texas, not from Eastham Prison. See Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde (Guinn, 2009) for a great deal of information on this event. Mvferguson (talk) 05:23, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Number of victims

[edit]

Sources seem to vary if it's 13 or 12. Which is it? 2601:408:8001:120:308C:1591:EB81:D4B2 (talk) 17:54, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

This article's popular culture section has grown to one-eighth of the article's content. Considering how detailed and full this article is (good), that's one monumental WP:COATRACK of trivia (bad). Many entries have no citations, others are simply too trivial to mention, and others have far more detail than is necessary. Time to trim. See MOS:TRIVIA and WP:POPCULTURE.   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 19:01, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I trimmed a few of the sections, but the Music and Television sections still need work (trimming and citations).   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 19:35, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think Bonnie and Clyde were able to continue their criminal activity for so long without being stopped? What made them so popular among the public? 2601:8C:C480:3150:29D0:7860:E004:CA07 (talk) 12:27, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Bonnie and Clyde were inspiration for the character, "Bonnie" in Brawl Stars. (And her cannon whom is named Clyde) Could this go under the 'Pop Culture - Videogames' section or is it too unrelated to go under that category? Whaleboats (talk) 15:08, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
