Magnet use for bondo discovery
The statement about checking for bondo on used cars is misleading and should be removed or heavily revised. Not all cars are made completely from steel. Many use fiber glass, carbon fiber, or lexan in their construction and thus would be mistaken as bondo by someone using a magnet to inspect those vehicles.66.158.176.117 (talk) 11:48, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
I Agree that it was misleading. I added a note to the end stating that the test will not work on plastic, fiber glass, or carbon fiber. David (talk) 01:35, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Waterproof?
Bondo might not seem to be affected by water, but may let moisture through over time (which may lead to paint peeling or rust):
"Normal bondo just absorbs water (hydroscopic I believe) if given the opportunity."
"The problem with bondo is that IF there is any moisture around, it WILL absorb it, then trap it next to any bare metal. Often the moisture is present before the paint is applied. Sometimes, filler (bondo) is used in places where moisture can enter it from the back side."

Short working time
Ordinary Bondo has a working time of about 5 minutes at the most. For many uses, this short working time is a big problem. What can be done to extend the working time?
"also use a little acetone in the bondo to make it easier to work with and give it a longer working time"

Bondo (putty) → Body filler – A quick search shows there are other body fillers available, like Evercoat's Rage range, Dynatron's Dynalite, etc... The subject should not be limited to one product or one producer. Renaming would make it easier for interested editors to expand the article imo. 84.197.185.211 (talk) 09:41, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose this article is nominally about Bondo. If you want a general article, then write one. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 22:37, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Neutrality
I am adding a tag disputing the neutrality of the article. The automotive section is written in a demeaning and biased tone, utilizing weasel words and loaded words (example: "Polyester body fillers are considered amongst quality body fabricators or repairers as a very poor patch up material". The purpose of Wikipedia is not to comment on the merits of a particular product - it is to inform. Additionally, this article requires expansion and cleanup. There are no sources cited. This is not up to Wikipedia's standards of quality. Chrisbrl88 (talk) 09:48, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
