Hello, I am a student at the Washington University in St. Louis learning about bees. I wanted to contribute to this page and add some information about this interesting bee. I pulled together some resources and put in some information that I thought would be interesting to the public community. Let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the article! Thank you. Good work on this article! The picture in the right hand box is striking and really pulls me in. I condensed a lot of information to make the article more concise. Beginning with the overview, I cut down on repetition and rearranged some words. I think you could add a few more sentences here to summarize the entire article better. The taxonomy section has a lot of information that I think would work better in the distribution and habitat section, and I think you should replace the current info with facts about the genus and family (how are these taxonomic divisions made?). The biggest change I made was moving the anatomy subsection from behavior to description and identification. I think the physiological descriptions work better there.

There were quite a few grammar mistakes (not having spaces between words, using the wrong tense of a word, or forgetting to italicize a species name). I fixed most of these but make sure to read through your future text additions to cut down them. My favorite parts were the buzz pollination section, which you described very well, and the sting section, which is scary! Again nice job putting together this page. The Bombus morio entry provided some interesting facts and was a good start to what I hope will become an interesting and detailed article. Overall the writing was terse and understandable for the general population. I was very interested and impressed by the detailed section regarding their anatomy. I really enjoyed how the author included different facts at different levels of anatomical structure and made it very comprehensive. I did very minimal editing to the grammar and sentence structure of this article. The majority of the sentences I did change, as I added some punctuation and made basic grammar structure. Within the “Taxonomy” section I linked temporal ecosystems. Linking this word helped ensure that the readers have resources that would allow them to have a comprehensive understanding of the ecological conditions within their ecosystem. Within the Anatomy section, I linked any of the anatomical descriptions I could find on Wikipedia. I did this because I believe that by including these definitions I could help the reader to get a basic understanding of the anatomy. Especially in the “mucus gland” subsection which discussed a lot of RNA and DNA level biochemical processes. I also linked two words in the “midgut” subsection (endocrine and microvilli) once again to provide the readers with as many resources possible. This section still is really great and had really interesting material that is important to think about when looking at macro level anatomy. Within the “Colony cycle” section I linked eusocial because it was the first time that this concept was mentioned and is an important concept within the study of insect. Within the “mating”, “nesting” and “parasites” sections I just linked minor words that could help the readers can a deeper understanding. Lastly, I believe that a few sections could be expanded upon. Very little was said about nests within this article and a lot could be added to the “Description” section. Helenaxeros (talk) 20:27, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Overall all the article is well done. There was only little things that had to be edited. I italicized Bombus morio in taxonomy and in the anatomy section muliple times and changed “From the age of about 40 days. Some of the virgin queens maybe be isolated to induce oviposition” to "Some of the virgin queens maybe be isolated to induce oviposition when they reach the age of 40 days." As for improvements to the article Helenaxeros for the most part hit all the major points.VAD2015 (talk) 06:38, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article was well written, and a lot of work was put in to the information shown. I corrected some grammar mistakes and changed some of the sentence structure. I also suggest adding a range map to show where the bee inhabits. I would add more to taxonomy and phylogeny section because it has more information on habitat that would be better to add to the following section. Also I changed “Distribution and Habitat” to just “Habitat” since the next section is call “Description and identification.” Vsalazar258 (talk) 22:53, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
