"Suburban" Electrostar?
[edit]Has anyone got a source for this name? I've worked on Electrostars for years under a few different banners and have never seen the "suburban" moniker in any literature, whether from Southeastern or Bombardier. It's just a Class 376 Electrostar. There are loads of different classes of Electrostar, it's a modular train and every TOC has then kitted out to a slightly different spec but with the same name. 2p0rk (talk) 14:36, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

Mains sockets
[edit]At least some of the Electrostar units seem to have UK 230V (or is it 240V?) mains sockets next to each pair of seats in standard class. It would be great if this and other articles about rolling stock could be updated with well-sourced information about whether or not this useful amenity is present. - Potential starting points for research:

- There are actually quite a lot of modern trains that have BS 1363 power outlets; in some cases (such as Class 220 and Class 221) they were equipped from new; in others, such as the High Speed Trains operated by Great Western, they were fitted during refurbishment in the 1990s. I have also seen them in Class 165 and Class 166 units in the last few months, presumably they were fitted during routine maintenance, since there is no sign of refurbishment (the seats have not been recovered, etc.). --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 07:46, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
Diagrams
[edit]Do we really need all those diagrams? Several of them are nearly identical. ElshadK (talk) 17:32, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
