Overly detailed / original research

[edit]

I have tagged this article because of several lengthy and unsourced sections: Murder: Body in suitcase, ERPM Golf Club, Boksburg legends. Tacyarg (talk) 19:21, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at the Body in suitcase section as it was originally added (back in 2013), I'd say there's a very good chance this is newspaper text copied/pasted into the article without attribution/permission. Which leads me to think that may also be the case for many of the sections you name (they were added by the same user around the same time). Paris1127 (talk) 20:04, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That section appears to have been copied/pasted from here (and the source for this is a Geocities page, so it's long gone). Paris1127 (talk) 20:08, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Golf Club section is a copy/paste of here. Paris1127 (talk) 20:11, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for finding that. I saw the body section in a newspaper dated 2015, but thought that was copying from Wikipedia rather than the other way around; obviously I didn't dig enough. Tacyarg (talk) 20:36, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
