"boy-zee"
[edit]I pronounce the name of this city, "boy-zee" as opposed to "boy-SEE". --HoopoeBaijiKite 03:34, 13 April 2008 (UTC) I think it is boy-zeeKF5LLG (talk) 02:57, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
It's one syllable, as "BOYSS", ro two syllables for the complet name "BOYSS CITY". Your incorrect pronunciations are irrelevant.
pointless trivia
[edit]"Boise City is closer to the capitals of both Colorado and New Mexico than it is to Oklahoma City. Denver, Colorado, is 303 miles (488 km) and Santa Fe, New Mexico, is 261 miles (420 km), while Oklahoma City is 326 miles (525 km) away." Is there any reason for this commonplace trivial oddity to be in this article? This is supposed to be an encyclopedia, not a roadside attraction.
response to pointless trivia
[edit]The information about distances seemed useful to me as a reader, giving me a perspective on what it might be like to live in the Panhandle of Oklahoma. Puppyonthebottom (talk) 04:03, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
Dust Bowl
[edit]Just watched first part of Ken Burns' series on Dust Bowl on Netflix, and noted that much of the story is centered around the Boise City experience. Thinking of adding a link to it here. Puppyonthebottom (talk) 04:03, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
Article reclassification and removed image request
