Val-Royal Station, Bois-Franc (AMT)
[edit]"the original Val-Royal Station was demolished by vandals on June 5 1995." No No, the station was demolished by the CN after it obtained permission from the appropriate Canadian government agency. One would have to look in the archives at the Montreal Public Library, or in the archives of the Montreal Gazette to get the full story. The "vandals" were the CN itself. - N/Réf. T6165/S7 & V/Réf. 5105-VAL-1 are the file numbers of a French language letter by Me. Marie-Paule Scott of the National Transportation Agency of Canada, dated May 25 1995, to Me. S. A. Cantin at the time avocat géneral (réseau) of the Canadien National. I was one of 9 persons that received a copy of that letter. I intend to scan it and make it available to Wikipedia. The introduction reads:
- "Objet: Demande du Canadien National en vue d'obtenir l'autorisation d'enlever le bâtiment de gare de Val-Royal (Québec). p.m.7.09 de la subdivision de Mont-Royal." This letter gave the CN the go ahead to do the dirty work. Peter Horn User talk 23:06, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
- The Transport Canada website ([1]) no longer contains a reference to this matter. Peter Horn User talk 02:32, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- I have scanned the letter into my PC. Someone please explain to me how to upload it into Wiki or provide me with an E-mail address so that I can send it to him/her for uploading. Peter Horn User talk 01:44, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
Metro extension
[edit]The Bois-Franc station was intended to be an intermodal station with the Orange Line which was to have extended into Laval at this end. This info comes from fr:Bois-Franc (AMT)

Cartierville branch and station
[edit]There are several errors in this section. I don't believe Cartierville was ever the end of the line. It was built in the early 1930s as far as I can tell, long after the rest of the line was built to the west. It certainly can't be said to be a relic of the Canadian Northern days, since the CNoR went bankrupt in 1917. Meters (talk) 18:29, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- I've located maps that show the entire line to the West Island but no stub line to Cartierville, so I'll rewrite this section. Can anyone provide a ref for when the Cartierville stub was actually built? Meters (talk) 19:09, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
