Birthplace

[edit]

Currently (Feb 2009), WWE 24/7 is running a Hall of Fame show on Bobo. Host Gene Okerlund claims that Bobo was born in Little Rock, AR, and moved to Benton Harbor, MI when very young (and that's where he was billed from). I'm not changing it unless I can find a good online source. 98.213.251.93 (talk) 16:22, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A man that made a big influnce on the young

[edit]

I met Bobo in San Francisco in 1969 at a match where he signed autographes and spent time talking to kids behind the curtons. HE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF A EDUCATION and why a kid should stay out of trouble he did not care if you were black or white it was just for kids in general and made a big influnce in my life and i will always respect him for that. Article is wrong -- signature move is the Coco Bonk, not the Coco Butt!

[edit]

Bobo Brazil's signature move was called the "Coco Bonk", not the "Coco Butt"! Anyone who watched Bobo Brazil during his heyday knows this. The Wikipedia article references an online profile of wrestlers that is also incorrect, and there's a YouTube video with the Coco Butt mentioned incorrectly in the video name that I suspect started the whole problem

I found an old newspaper article from the Ottawa Citizen with the correct "Coco Bonk" name included in the text of the article: http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=2194&dat=19630508&id=5UgyAAAAIBAJ&sjid=reUFAAAAIBAJ&pg=6920,2084573

And if you Google "Bobo Brazil Coco Bonk" you'll see plenty of articles and references that use the term properly. I'm not good with Wikipedia edits, can someone please update the article and add a reference so the change sticks?
