introduction

[edit]

I don't know how long ago this article was assembled but the summary hasn't been accurate in a long time. The bit about two championships in the 'current points format.' The points and/or championship format have changed multiple times since his cup title. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.186.63.11 (talk) 09:34, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

First Brothers

[edit]

They're first brothers to each win a Winston title; has it ever been done in Busch or trucks? Trekphiler 03:57, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding the page

[edit]

I think we can greatly expand the page; mostly by taking more time on his history. Right now, everything seems to be saidin a a few short sentences, and not expounded upon. If we work to put some more detail into this article, it could be one of the best NASCAR dirvers' pages. I'll try to do what I can, but I need some help. Total Season Ranking

[edit]

I was wondering how a driver could have a Total Season Ranking of 15.5? The only thing I can think of is this is an average of all of his years as a driver? Now, as of the 3rd race this year, Bobby is ranked 15. I just wanted to ask this question before I went and erased it. Thanks Rocketmaniac RT 00:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1990-1994 Change

[edit]

This paragraph in the 1990-1994 section needs to be changed:

The following season, 1992, he continued racing in the Busch Series. His season was a successful one, and he ended up winning three races (at Lanier, Hickory, and Martinsville speedways respectively), but lost the Busch championship to Joe Nemechek by three points. That championship finish is, to date, the closest finish in either Sprint Cup, Nationwide, or Craftsman Truck Series history.

Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards ended the 2011 Sprint Cup series in a tie with Stewart winning the tie-breaker and the Championship. This is now the closet finish in any of the 3 major series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billified (talkcontribs) 17:24, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
