Pleased to Meet Me
[edit]It is unclear if Bob played on the Pleased to Meet Me demos. Those demos were apparently recorded shortly after he parted ways with the band. He didn't get any songwriting or performance credits on even the expanded reissues of the album. None of the songs on the album appear on the set lists for the shows from the first half of 1986 which immediately preceded his departure. Timothy Horrigan (talk) 15:25, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
The new 2020 expanded edition of Pleased to Meet Me lays this debate to bed. Bob Stinson played on the earliest demos and was dismissed from the band in the midst of recording the demos.Nomadic Tribesman (talk) 23:55, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
I decided to include the fact that Stinson's name was not mentioned in his son's obituary. It was reversed because, according to an editor who apparently is monitoring my contributions, because I need "an independent reliable source." I linked directly to the obituary! What was I supposed to do instead? For whatever reason, the obituary was deemed an adequate source for the fact that Stinson's son had in fact died.
