User:Bruxton It is better explained in the WP:IC in his article. It is more because Princeton saved the cinderella seeds from being eliminated from future tournaments. I think saying a person is known for an award is a bit of an odd way to word it. How about "He is known for his participation in the 1989 Georgetown vs. Princeton men's basketball game, and was the 1989 Ivy League Men's Basketball Player of the Year."
