Most famous for what?
[edit]He was probably most famous for his role as game warden Robert Muldoon in the film Jurassic Park...Peck was also well known in the UK for his role in the BBC series Edge of Darkness.
I am quite taken aback to see Jurassic Park mentioned before Edge of Darkness. Perhaps it is my UK origin here, but Edge of Darkness made him a household name in the eighties here. It really did. Jurassic Park was also a blockbuster here, but I don't think people went and thought "Oh yeah, the one with Bob Peck" in the same way.
I would be interested to know whether this is just my UK-centric POV, because I would like to change this to emphasis Edge of Darkness over Jurassic Park.

- Well I was just about to change it, but I won't spoil your fun. He may be better known for Jurassic Park in the US, but I don't imagine he had anything like the same profile there as in Britain. I would say he's definitely best known for Edge of Darkness, but you could always say something like "he was familiar to American audiences for JP" or whatever. Unsourced Rumours
[edit]"Peck was rumoured to have developed an unusual obsession with his own legs in the five month lead up to Jurassic Park, during which he spent hours at a time in his home gym performing squats and leg presses. Directors of Jurassic Park were unimpressed with Peck's efforts to get his trim, toned and muscular legs into as many shots as possible, thus the reason for his character, Robert Muldoon, being killed off by a posse of velocoraptors."
Source for this? If not, surely cut.

- Good call. When you come across nonsense like that, feel free to cut. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 18:50, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Deathbed Quotation
[edit]upon his deathbed, Peck was quoted saying "clever girl..."
Obvious nonsense, and if nobody minds I'm going to remove it. They should all be destroyed...
