Controversy -- not mentioned?
[edit]I am used to going to Wikipedia when I want to get an unbiased coverage of the basic facts on a subject. But sometimes I encounter one that seems to have parts wiped out of history. This article might be one of them.
I have seen some references to controversy about Mr. Bowmans' coaching style, referred to as regimented & dictatorial, and even 'borderline abusive'* toward his athletes. I thought Wiki would have some real information on this, even if just to say that it has been debunked. Yet there is nothing here at all. I would think there should be something. The fact that Michael Phelps has followed him to various locations to be coached by him tends to make me discount these stories, though even Phelps mentions them. (Covered in the Michael Phelps article, but not here.)
- Thankfully, there seems to be no hint at all of sexual abuse by Bowman, which has been such an issue lately in the swimming sport. T bonham (talk) 04:31, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
