[edit]Sheen lead vocals on 'Zip...'? Always sounded like a woman to me - except for 'satisfactual'. Rothorpe (talk) 00:45, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Clearly Sheen's lead contribution is the one word "Satisfactual," which is actually ommitted the second time through. The Ruhlman reference cited does not discuss who sang lead. But it doesn't sound like Darlene Love either--more melisma, and the punching up of "truth" doesn't sound like her straight-ahead rocky-rolly leads on, say, "Not Too Young to Get Married." What DOES sound just like Love, though, is the "Yeah, yeah, yeah," back-up response to the lead. It would not surprise me at all if the lead were Fanita James. Spector's productions are so swathed in his mythology that I doubt we will ever know for certain. jackaroodave (not logged in). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.253.17.234 (talk) 01:22, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
