[edit]Why is he known as "Boaz"? ChrisTheDude 15:29, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
If I remember the story correctly, Boaz is the name his dad wanted to give him, but when registering the baby's name, he was persuaded to change it to something more sensible - Glyn . However he regretted that, and has always called him Boaz, never Glyn, except on the birth certificate. --Beve 15:49, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
I believe both of boaz's parents wanted to call him Boaz but it was his aunt or uncle who persuaded bo's parents to changed his name because they feared he would be picked on for it, but Boaz accually preferred Boaz to Glyn 85.210.12.52 17:32, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
International eligibility
[edit]As an overseas born holder of UK citizenship, he was eligible to play for any of the home nations. His residency in England and his mother's place of birth were irrelevant to his eligibility, although they might have played a part in his choice. Scotland and Northern Ireland were fully entitled to invite him to play for them. Kevin McE (talk) 08:11, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- That's right, I've heard or read him say so in an interview. Beve (talk) 20:28, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
