Oversection?

[edit]

Feels a bit like WP:OVERSECTION. Clone Wars could be just one section. Might be a good idea to also {{Cite episode}} whenever possible. -- 109.76.194.97 (talk) 23:02, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

With hindsight, I decided it was better to try and expand short sections rather than merge them. -- 109.77.207.112 (talk) 02:41, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
... and the season subsections are gone.[1] -- 109.76.130.179 (talk) 00:16, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

images

[edit]

Katee Sachoff interview with lots of pictures including the Bo-Katan character poster. would be nice if the article could include a picture of the animated character and the live action character and that article provides a good selection to potentially choose from. -- 109.79.165.50 (talk) 16:22, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Any image of the character would be a non-free image. We cannot add any non-free images until it is moved to the mainspace. JDDJS (talk to mesee what I've done) 22:33, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know that character images cannot be added until it is out of draft space.
I was looking at the character page for Ahsoka Tano and I hope that in time this article would include images of both the animated version of the character and the live action version. Images that have already been used by StarWars for publicity purposes seem to have an easier time getting approval for use in Wikipedia. -- 109.79.180.162 (talk) 14:38, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Might also be worth including a picture of her creator, Dave Filoni. File:Dave Filoni - Star Wars Weekends - Disney's Hollywood Studios - Walt Disney World (4684032594).jpg -- 109.76.142.197 (talk) 15:09, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Merchandise

[edit]

In other shows it would be notable if a character had an action figure or any merchandise at all, but that's almost standard with Star Wars.

  • Bo-Katan Black Series Action figure[2]A
  • Funko Pop Bo-Katan[3]
  • Her Universe Bo-Katan Tshirts[4]A
  • Gentle Giant Statuette[5][6]

Some of the Bo-Katan merchandise must be notable right? Maybe it only needs a brief mention to acknowledge that there was lots of Bo-Katan merchandise. Something to consider. Also might be a practical objective way to show the popularity of the character too. -- 109.77.194.122 (talk) 02:27, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

[edit]

Please note that Bo-Katan is included in the following lists: List_of_The_Mandalorian_characters#Bo-Katan_Kryze List_of_Star_Wars_Rebels_characters#Bo-Katan_Kryze and the table List of Star Wars: The Clone Wars cast members and probably others too. [P.S. List_of_Star_Wars_characters#Mandalorians of course there was more.]

I have tried to check these other places in Wikipedia and make sure that this article wasn't missing anything important that had been added elsewhere but also to trim back[7] those other entries so that they did not include too much information that would be better centralized here in this article. Anyone else trying to maintain or improve this article might also want to occasionally check those pages too. -- 109.79.65.11 (talk) 22:01, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Created by Dave Filoni

[edit]

Some editors have added claims that this character was created by George Lucas. I see no evidence (or reliable sources) to even suggest that Bo Katan was named and created by anyone other than Dave Filoni. George Lucas created Star Wars, which perhaps makes him the grandfather, but not the father of the character. Please show sources if you disagree that Dave Filoni created Bo Katan. (The Mandalorian (character) is a character created by Dave Filoni, not George Lucas. Cassian Andor is a character created by Dave Knoll. And so on.) -- 109.77.199.76 (talk) 11:35, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted the edits, due to this reasoning and because the sources in the article remark that Filoni designed and named the character. I agree that to add Lucas to the created by field will require a source directing stating thing beyond "he is an executive producer on the show", which verged on WP:OR territory. ~Cheers, TenTonParasol 22:31, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As a work for hire the copy rights and legal ownership of the character almost certainly belong in their entirety to Lucasfilm, but Filino has the moral right to be acknowledged as creator of this character from what I can see in the reliable sources. It seems WP:UNDUE and misleading to include George Lucas in the Infobox as creator of this character, simply being executive producer on the show does not automatically make him the creator of every character in the entire series. (Filoni does not get credit for creating Ahsoka, he is not the father, but as he developed the character you could maybe say he was her step-father but that doesn't get him a credit in the Infobox there either.)
This could always change later if editors find reliable sources saying otherwise. -- 109.77.205.15 (talk) 00:20, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Spoiler for last episode of season 3 Mandalorian

[edit]

This was in this page. I removed it and store it here, as the last episode is not publicly released yet. The information was not cited, so I wonder where it originated. Anyways, thought it was common courtesy not to spoiler with insider information.

"Chapter 24: A Admiral's Return" Bo-Katan with reinforcements from Ahsoka Tano manage to defeat Gideon but when they return to the fleet they find it destroyed and all that remains is a Phase III Star Destroyer. After gathering up the survivors and evading fire they manage to escape but Bo-Katan remained behind to try and save Din. After reuniting with din the doors close behind her and the door opens to reveal Grand Admiral Thrawn who then shoots Bo-Katan in the chest ending the episode.
