[edit]I removed the link to Anna Williams in the article, because the article linked to describes a video game character. I suspect the Anna Williams mentioned here is the poet; unfortunately she doesn't have a Wikipedia article, although she's mentioned on the Anna Williams (disambiguation) page. - Anna Williams (poet) is now an article, and Neddyseagoon already updated the link; Anna Williams is mentioned here. --Cyfal 19:28, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Origin of the Name
[edit]An Economist review offers a variation of the origin given here. It says "The name stuck after an absent-minded male guest once attended wearing the blue woollen stockings of working men instead of the more formal white silk." Recently the file File:Benjamin Stillingfleet by Johann Zoffany, RA.jpg (right) was uploaded and it appears to be relevant to this article and not currently used by it. If you're interested and think it would be a useful addition, please feel free to include it. Dcoetzee 12:02, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
