[edit]I was wondering how this differs from white hat hackers, since they both hack for ethical reasons, and to discover weaknesses in computing. HeseGrande (talk) 02:30, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- No wonder you are confused.
- The only common use of the term bluehat is by Microsoft for their Bluehat Security Briefings where they invite various hackers, presumably grey- and whitehats, of their choise.
- Note that Microsoft's corporate color is blue...

Blue Hat and Blue Hat Conf are different
[edit]Kosuch - Why did you merge the Blue Hat and Blue Hat Conference together into one paragraph? They are two different things and mashing the two definitions into one paragraph is IMHO confusing. - Operknockity (talk) 02:29, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
ok, so.
[edit]I'm just going to merge this into White Hat within the next week. There's been ample time for anybody (anybody? anyone? Bueller? Bueller?) to object, and nothing's getting done.
- Love,

- I suggest deletion. The Conference has been added to the list of Hacker Conferences, and there is no evidence to support the other meaning of this word. Any objections?

- No objection still after all this time.
- I'd say that shows a positive consensus.
- Delete it.
