Style differences
[edit]How, exactly, does this book differ from the others she has written, and why did it create a split. Is there anyone who could shed some light on that? - Ross Taben
I can't say anythinng official, and I can't give anything that's verifiable. I do know that when I read the book, it felt thrown together, and didn't give as much rich detail as previous Rice works. I would certainly say that the "style" is different, but I'm not an English major, so I can't give you specific reasons. As for the "split," at the time, I remember some fans who speculated that the book had actually been written by Rice's husband, Stan. I think he died shortly after. With a little research, I'm sure someone (not me) could find some interesting stuff to include about it. 170.145.0.100 (talk) 01:20, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
I've removed the statement that this book differs in style, and split fan opinion. Without citations, such as from recognized critics, saying the style is different violates npov, and there is no source of evidence that fan opinion is split. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.92.112.159 (talk) 23:43, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
