Technische Amt

What was the "Technische Amt"? Was this a part of the RLM or a separate body? Drutt (talk) 12:47, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

The Technische Amt was the Technical Office of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM), as per the existing article in the German Wikipedia; this information is missing from the English version of that wikiarticle. See also one of a series of hits in Google for an english-text description (review in Amazon of the book "Messerschmitt Bf-109 T: The Luftwaffe's Naval Fighter"). Hope this helps. Undercarriage

Model Photo?

Isn't this an article about an airplane, and not a model airplane? No disrespect to the contributor, but if that's the case, I don't think it's appropriate to feature a photo of a model in place of a photo or schematic of the actual plane. Of course, given that this article has no in-line references even, the fact that a photo of a model is substituted for a real plane shouldn't be surprising, maybe. I'm going to at least update the photo caption to note that it's a model! lol... joepa^T 05:11, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for mentioning this in the photo caption. Real photos are always to be preferred, but if no free photo is available, I add such model photos to provide an idea how the plane looks like. Misinformation? (Me-409)

I'm confused. This article "(Redirected from Messerschmitt Me 409)" But Me 609 wiki article "twin-boom adaptations of its Bf 109 line including the Bf 109Z (which joined two Bf 109s) and the Me 409 (which used two Me 209-II aircraft)." This is quite a good, detailed article. Needs references, a picture, and an updated infobox. But otherwise, an excellent article written by someone knowledgable about this obscure aircraft.
