Fair use rationale for Image:Blockrockinbeats.jpg
[edit]Image:Blockrockinbeats.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
removed opinion
[edit]I removed the following from the page, as it appeared to be unreferenced opinion:
However, even if it does not use that bassline, or if the Brothers were not aware of it, they surely must have been aware of the Pink Floyd song "Let There Be More Light" off the "Saucerful Of Secrets" album, which has the exact, note by note, bassline.

- Dear IPer, it’d be nice to add some free information to your opinion, like e.g. artist’s and song’s name. -- Pemu (talk) 12:03, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Single cover
[edit]@Aspects: the previous cover is also an original UK release and is widely used to promote the single. Other than how long the covers have been used in the article, is there a reason why you oppose the previous cover? Regards, DanWarpp (talk) 01:00, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- I apologize for the delay, but I forgot to respond here and remembered when I saw the original file tagged as being orphaned. The original file here is the original UK cover as can be seen at the discogs page for the single, [1], and more specifically at the CD single page, [2]. While the file you updated is a file cover that can be found at the discogs, the original file here is the original CD single cover and is the most used cover throughout all of the versions found on that page. When doing an image search for "Block Rockin' Beats" this cover is the most common. The file has been on Wikipedia for twelve years and if it was not correct, it would have likely been changed by now. It is the cover most people associate with the single and they would be WP:ASTONISHed to see any other file in the infobox. Since there is no consensus for the change, I am going to revert.
