the final x(t) is incorrect; it should be multiplied by -2*pi*h/a (inconsequential factors albeit)
The letter E is used both for electric field and energy in the dispersion relation. This can be confusing. Suggestion: Use epsilon in disp. relation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.179.31.7 (talk) 00:54, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- the final x(t) is still incorrect. just evaluate both sides at t=0. by definition of the integral x(0) should vanish, hence for k(0) = 0, it should be x(t) = A/eE [ 1 - cos(eEat/hbar) ] 2A02:1810:2814:FB00:B3E1:1B66:C687:CF4 (talk) 13:42, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
observation of the effect in JJs
[edit]`it has been observed in [...] ultrasmall Josephson junctions.` I can't seem to find a source for this and remember hearing from a colleague that charge noise is usually too big to permit observation of Bloch oscillation in small JJs. Anyone got more info on this ? SomeRandomEngui - MechanicalPenguin - now with 60% more saucisse sèche. (talk) 09:01, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
