[edit]Dear ChristensenMJ,
The article and info below are what Mr. Treu wanted on the page. Please use this as a draft and add appropriate links. This information is all accurate as Mr. Treu gave this information to me directly to edit onto Wikipedia. However, I do not have much experience using Wikipedia. Here it is below, Thank you. KyleT29 (talk) 19:36, 13 May 2018 (UTC) ................................ Blair Treu is an award-winning American film director. His eclectic body of work directing feature film, television, documentaries, and commercials spans 30 years working work with a number of Academy and Emmy award-winning actors.
Treu began his career at the Walt Disney Company as an assistant to Marty Katz, senior VP of Television/Feature Production. A year later he ventured into script development where he supervised script coverage for the ABC Disney Sunday Movie until 1987.
Six years later, after directing a string of documentaries and commercials, his feature directorial debut came in 1993 with Just Like Dad, starring Wallace Shawn and Nick Cassavetes. This would be the first of three films created for the Disney Channel; The Paper Brigade, starring Kyle Howard and Robert Englund and Wish Upon A Star, starring Katherine Heigl. Shortly thereafter, Blair directed 18 episodes of Chicken Soup for the Soul, a TV series based upon the popular books, starring Shelley Long, Paula Abdul, Edward Asner, Stacy Keach, Sheena Easton, Earnest Borgnine, Ray Walston, Andrew Dice Clay and many others. Simultaneous to the series Blair also directed Brainiacs.Com, starring Dom DeLuise and Rich Little, and Phantom of the Megaplex, starring Mickey Rooney. From 2000 to 2007, Blair produced and directed Little Secrets, starring Evan Rachel Wood and Vivica A Fox for Columbia Tri-star Pictures, Last Day of Summer for Nickelodeon Television, 22 episodes of Power Rangers and 2 episodes of the live-action series; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Mr. Treu has also produced and directed numerous educational films and documentaries such as two 90-minute TV specials; Bridge to China, and Full Circle, as well as acting as show-runner/director on the 13-part series Real Families, Real Answers. More recently, Treu directed an episode of the scripted series; Granite Flats staring Christopher Lloyd and Parker Posey. His most recent feature-length documentary Meet The Mormons premiered in theaters nationwide in 2016 and is now among the top thirty highest grossing documentary films of all time.
Mr. Treu’s work has taken him to multiple locations throughout North, Central, and South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, the Middle East, China, New Zeeland, Australia, and many islands in the Pacific. He has been recognized with numerous industry awards for achievement in producing and directing and is a member of the Directors Guild of America.
- Thanks so much for your efforts and contributions, KyleT29. With respect, while I appreciate the interest of you, Mr. Treu in this instance, or any other good-faith contributors, in having this, or any, article be accurate and complete, the principles that govern Wikipedia are not such that individuals - particularly those for whom an article is written about decide what is to be written, or how it is written. That is always welcome for individual histories, self-promoting websites, or other resources. One of the needs this article probably has is more actual encyclopedia-like references and writing that comes from external and independent sources. There are also WP guidelines which caution against conflict of interest which may be helpful in review. Thanks again for your interest in productive contributions to WP.
