No sources, at the edge of not notable

[edit]

This article was without any references for a very long time (it actually holds the record for the longest any article has been unreferenced) until two sources were added in 2021. I just removed one of those as WP:CIRCULAR (the source itself was most likely based on this Wikipedia article), and I have serious doubts about the usefulness of the single remaining source.[1] That is a very weak reference. All it says is that this was one of several sequels to a book that was not well-received by fans. Nothing else. That is not enough to make this book notable. And holding a Wikipedia record does not make something notable either.

The WP:NOTABILITY guideline clearly states that if no reliable, independent sources (plural, multiple sources!) can be found on a topic, then it should not have a separate article. I am not yet suggesting that this article should be deleted (or more likely, turned into a redirect), but if no good sources can be found then I will propose it for deletion. I am giving it some time though. Renerpho (talk) 10:36, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
