Unjustified reference?
[edit]The 8th reference of the article does not talk about the hybridisation of the spanish slug and the black slug. I just created my Wikipedia account so I am reluctant about erasing entries without asking a more experienced user. Should it be erased or displaced? --G.v.kolbe (talk) 18:34, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
I believe that the 19th reference refered in the last parapgrah of ecology is not reliable and not appropriate for the statement, after consulting original source the statement is made by a non-expert and refers to slugs in general, not the black slug specificaly Vincentt2000 (talk) 16:55, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Vincentt2000
Yuck
[edit]Posibly the must yucky creature in existance. Is there any data about peoples reaction to this nasty creature. If so we should include it here. It would win my most horrid creatures poll any time.--JK the unwise 18:10, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

- You might find its cousin to your liking, then, its nuisance to humans is far more documented :) Obli (Talk)? 18:23, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with the first speaker. Even though I normally have nothing but love for all of God's creatures, I positively loath this beast. I find it strange that there should be no article on it before now, but for all I'm concerned it could gladly have remained that way. Eixo 19:36, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

It's defense mechanism of becoming a hemispherical shape is unique in the animal kingdom. Would a picture of it in that state be worthwhile, or overkill?wbm 18:57, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Slug parasite?
[edit]Has anyone else ever observed tiny white creatures crawling about on a black slug? Perhaps a similar size to red spider mites, or even smaller. I saw them a few times. It was pretty gross - they were crawling in and out of the pneumostomes! I assume they're some sort of parasite. Matthew 23:53, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
New image
[edit]Have replaced the present image with a new image of higher res and showing features more clearly. Hope this is fine. Prashanthns (talk) 08:58, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
