The Flag of Somaliland has a five-pointed black star but doesn't seem related. Internet sources of less than adequate reliability [1][2] suggest the five points represent five Somali regions (as per the white star on the Flag of Somalia) and the black colour is either for black people or to mourn the lack of unity among the Somali regions.
The Flag of Gambela Region might possibly be related. But probably not.
