From 1st June 2008 the speed limit was lowered from 100km/h to 80km/h. This is a Victorian state government initiative to increase the revenue raised from speeding tickets. Some other Victorian State Government initiatives that they have implemented on Black Spur over the last 24month were armco barriers with unprotected support poles, that increased danger of injury or death to many 100's of riders that frequent Black Spur every weekend. |

More than a road - the district is notable
[edit]Since the Black Spur has a long history and represents a geographical feature and is more than just a road, why should this article not be expanded to include more about its environment and history and therefore become a more worthwhile article for readers/researchers with broader interests? Jamesmcardle(talk) 23:41, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- I agree. Feel free to go for it. HiLo48 (talk) 05:05, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
