A list of Tribute Albums like Nativity in Black would be nice i know it would be larger but could be a nice project for Sabbath fans. Lucifers hammer 05:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the BEst of Sabbath album? it should be in the complilations? how was this missed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.79.145.2 (talk) 21:47, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

I do not believe the chart positions for Black Sabbath singles are anywhere near correct. For one it lists Paranoid as #1 on Hot 100. It was not. For two, it lists 14 charting singles on Mainstream Rock from before that list was created. Quite a few corrections seem to be needed. /Stevin Steegan 13 June 2008 83.249.66.183 (talk) 18:30, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Ward is not on "13" and therefore it is not the original line up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.10.172.164 (talk) 21:24, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A third of the singles doesn't exist

[edit]

It is typical for the article-writers on Wikipedia discographies to list up many more singles with each artist than really exists. The reason for this I believe is that the writers doesn't understand the difference between stock copies (i.e. records sold through shops) and promo copies (i.e. free records sent to reviewers and radio DJs - all of them stamped with 'Not For Sale'). They are usually just exact copies of forthcoming singles sent out shortly before the single release. But sometimes entirely different titles are sent out to promote the album). If listing all these entirely different titles one can often double the total number in an artificial way.

Many of these discographies also assume that if a track is released as a video, then it's also released as a single. Correct most of the time, but not always.

ONLY STOCK COPIES CAN COUNT AS OFFICIAL RELEASES, AND THEREFORE ONLY THEY SHOULD BE LISTED.

Why releases like Between Heaven And Hell and Live At Last is not listed together with, repectively compilations and live albums is also very strange. What is the reason for this?
