Actual name

His real name would most likely have been Vojnić, which over the course of almost a century in Canada would have been changed to what must have sounded like Winage to people in the Yukon Territory. hey, this article says his name was Wenovich but he shortened it to Winach/Winack. It also mentions Yugoslavia.

That was how I met Mike Wenovich, whose last name had been shortened to Winach...
