Supergroup, umm, read definition
Oh, gee, I did read the definition, now you pointed it to me, so why didn't you read it first:
"In some cases, an act will later be referred to as a supergroup when multiple members from said group end up securing individual fame later on."
Language is not static. In addition, whatever your opinion about the band, we just use the sources, which call them a supergroup. --(AfadsBad (talk) 04:15, 5 October 2013 (UTC))
And, actually, lots of people knew Ab-Soul by 2008, and a number knew Q. --(AfadsBad (talk) 04:18, 5 October 2013 (UTC))
- Sources do not call them a supergroup, just a group (not a band btw). They are as much a "supergroup" as the Wu-Tang Clan, D12, Mobb Deep, and Odd Future are, which they are not. As the first sentence of Supergroup (music) says, "A supergroup is a music group whose members are already successful as solo artists or as part of other groups." Not a single one of the members had released a studio album at the formation of the group, and not any of them were necessarily "notable" back in 2008. Jay Rock was the first one to get a Wikipedia article in 2009, and Kendrick would be the next in early 2011, which was created by me. My opinion is that they are the greatest thing going in music, so do not try to make it out that I am doing this out of my spite or dislike of the group. In the end they are not a "supergroup" by definition, just because some sources refer to them as it does not make it a fact. Look up "Black Hippy group" (576 results) and "Black Hippy supergroup" (2 results) in Google News for a obvious difference. STATic message me! 05:09, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
- So that's the issue, you only read one sentence of a source you cite. Get back to me when you read the rest. The article was suggested to me for editing by SuggestBot. It is a badly written, inaccurate article in need of serious attention, and it gets a lot of hits, but I give up when it comes to bad articles owned by people who don't discuss issues on the article talk page. --(AfadsBad (talk) 05:17, 5 October 2013 (UTC))
- I still cannot get over that you called them a band. Go ahead and edit all you want, but if you continue to make mistakes do not be surprised if they are reverted by someone. You still did not refute a single one of my points, only complain that an edit of yours was reverted, and scream false ownership problems. If you think it is "badly written" or "inaccurate" in any way fix it. STATic message me! 05:21, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
- Nah, I am done. Band? That was funny, actually. But, yeah, you still not going to read your own sources, so, I am out of here. --(AfadsBad (talk) 05:23, 5 October 2013 (UTC))
- Well there is, [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], that all say group or collective. Come to think of it, it used to say "collective" which is more of a correct term. Again, I did not write the article, not "my" sources. STATic message me! 05:33, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Another Memeber of the Black Hippy Movement.
A Female artist by the name of SZA is also apart of the black Hippy Movement. She did not start off as a part of the group but was added in 2013 as their only female member. please check this information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OrbalRB (talk • contribs) 17:43, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
