The gallery of flags and coats of arms at the bottom of this page caught my eye because I had never seen images in a dab page before. Apparently this is actually allowed if it "aids in selecting between articles on the particular search term in question", which it probably does in this case. It still seems pretty odd to me. A couple questions:

  1. Are these flags and coats of arms appropriate to list here (regardless of whether we use images or just text)? cf. WP:DPAGE: A disambiguation page is a non-article page that lists and links to encyclopedia articles covering topics that could have had the same title.
  2. If so, is this gallery in the right place? Would it not be preferable to put it under a "Heraldry" section as part of the main listing?

I'm leaning 'no' on the first question. In general, I would think the fact that X is a valid description of Y (or a part of Y) is not a sufficient reason to link to Y from the disambiguation page for X. e.g. I would think Red Dress should not link to a page like Red Versace dress of Cindy Crawford or I Am Half-Sick of Shadows, Said the Lady of Shalott.
