- Yes Zjarri, Drin (river) is the main river with two branch White and Black. Now exist the Drin, White Drin, White Drin Canyon and Black Drin, no Drim, Drim what is? A joke! Exist Nile, Danube, Volga etc, White Nile, Danube, Volga, why should we have Black Nilise, Danubmeshulise, Vollgarisusu! Ridiculous situation. IH talk 23:13, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Black Drim → Black Drin – Reasons:
- This was the uncontested title of the page since 2005.
- The recent move to Black Drim (by Antidiscriminator on 25 April 2012) was unexplained and undiscussed.
- Internal consistency with Drin (river), Drin Valley and other articles
- Reasonable prima facie evidence of predominant usage as shown in the Google links cited by ZjarriRhethues above
- If it should be found that neither "Drim" nor "Drin" are clearly predominant in English, Wikipedia:WikiProject Rivers#Rivers with multiple names would suggest following the local name in the country in which the longest section of the river, or the one closest to its mouth, is located; both criteria point towards the Albanian name form.

- * Agree - All arguments of Zajrrirrethues are acceptable. Black Drin is the real name. IH talk 23:45, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
- Support - per wp:commonname. It is incorrect that my move was unexplained. I wrote in edit summary per wp:eng. Now I see that I probably made mistake because there are more Drin than Drim hits. So I support renaming.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 22:04, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

In Greek
[edit]Anna Komnene calls the Black Drin "Drymona" in her Alexiad[1]. Interesting fact, some Greek user probably might transcript it in Ancient Greek? --Drini234 (talk) 16:19, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
The name of the river is Drim. With M, like Macedonia.
It is only when Albanians came in Macedonia in 1700s to rename it (probably they hear the name as driN). There are even antic books which call it DriMona, not DriNona.
If there is a rule to name a river by its source, then it is DriM.
Why do you insist on putting fake names for the river? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.28.208.64 (talk) 15:23, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
