I found the complete text at [1]. I didn't add an external link to it, because there is no evidence they had permission to copy it. Art LaPella 23:32, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the numerous warning templates I have recently added: OR--I wrote this article last year as a newbie (as Jurius2004), and all the facts presented here are based on my having read the script and performed in the show. The script of the play is the only source for all information, aside from pure conjecture. Tone--The tone is too informal and not encyclopedic, including such phrases as "without giving too much away..." and "seems pretty clear, no?" Plot--Not sure on the appropriate length for this section. May not be too long after all. Themes, Motifs, Symbols-Not supported by outside evidence, furthermore written in an inappropriate style, furthermore information is not essential/relevant. May need to be deleted completely. Quotes--Borders on being a trivia section. Formatting also appears incorrect. Calaf 00:18, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Noneutral, and lacks citations-- "an emotional pile of goo"? 66.167.242.226 (talk) 20:12, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey everyone, I've just overhauled this article pretty thoroughly, and I think I've taken care of the issues listed above. --Carminestone (talk) 10:46, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Completing the Production History

[edit]

When I corrected this article, I listed as many of the significant productions of the play as I could find, but I suspect that there are two others I didn't list. I know the play was rewritten four times, in 1968 (The Lyric Theatre Production), 1976, 1993 (Roundabout Theatre Company Production), and 1998, but I don't know whether the 1976 and 1998 rewrites were connected with specific productions. I suspect they are. I you have any info on them, please feel free to add them to the Production History. --Carminestone (talk) 10:59, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've managed to find the other two productions: The 1998 production starring David Tennant is now added to the article, but I wasn't able to find any more info on the 1976 production. Here's all I know about it: It was done at the Shaw Theatre in London, it was produced by the Dolphin Company, a now defunct theatre company, Peter Shaffer rewrote The White Liars extensively for this performance, it was directed by Paul Giovanni and featured Timothy Dalton as Harold and Tom. If anyone has any more info on this production, especially the cast list, or a programme cover, please add it to the production history! Carminestone (talk) 06:31, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
