Okay lets do this.
- The article could use a background section discussing Porter, why he is at the event, and why he is wearing a gown. Especially his long track-record of interesting red carpet fashion
- Oh, I didn't even think of that. Great idea.
- Okay, it's in. I also wound up reorganizing the "design and development" section a bit so it goes from the end of the background section with the Golden Globes suit of Jan 2019 into the Feb 2019 invitation to the Oscars, so the reader can see the obvious connection from "Pose-related fame" to Oscars invite. Let me know if you think there need to be more tweaks.
- There are some OVERCITE issues with 3-4 citations for a fairly uncontentious statement
- ex. A number of critics noted that the dress generated a significant response on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter.
- Happy to trim the specific example above from 4 to 3. My experience has been that for situations where I'm making broad statements about critical opinions, 3 is preferred to indicate there is actually a "critical consensus" so to speak.
- Date formats are inconstant
- These should now be correct
- Inconsistent publication links
- People vs People.com
- the Guardian vs The Guardian
- Fixed, and additionally I've done the FAC thing of linking the first instance of a website/publisher and de-linking any further instances
Passive voice / other phrasing that you may want to look at
- It has since been noted by fashion critics
- In early February 2019, Porter was approached
- Ratelle stated that the design was inspired by
- The dress was favorably received
- after it was announced that he would wear the dress on an episode of long-running children's show
- By whom
- The dress has been recalled by fashion critics
- These are all fixed now with the exception of "Ratelle stated". IMO "X was inspired by Y" is pretty common phrasing and it would be awkward to try to rearrange it.
Ealdgyth-style source review. You know the question: why is this a high quality source
- Swapped for Paper magazine
- It was a quote from an AP piece anyway, swapped for ABC News
- Arguably an opinion piece, which tend to be given more leeway in my experience. Given that their primary line of business is to write about celebrity fashion, I think it's reasonable/within due weight to cite that it's their opinion that this is one of Porter's best looks.

- I tend to think of People much like Us: A supermarket tabloid
These are all to be helpful and not things that are needed for the GA --Guerillero Parlez Moi 11:06, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
- Great review, thank you for taking the time. The majority of things are handled/responded to, except the background section, which I'll handle next. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 08:52, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
- Background also done. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 10:07, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
