Talk:Black-billed gull
Illustrations
[edit]How about a copy of File:Chroicocephalus bulleri.JPG (very clear image at full size)
just before "references", get rid of the over processed File:Black-billed Gull RWD.jpg, and replace lead photo with a cut down version showing less of the post that it is standing on? -Tony Wills (talk) 09:14, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Expand?
[edit]The German article appears to have more info if someone cares to translate. --Tony Wills (talk) 10:56, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Update BirdLife International Reference?
[edit]The reference for "endangered" status in the sidebar is from a 2012 report. A 2016 report has since become available. The status remains the same but it would be good to keep the citation up-to-date, especially as less authoritative sources are currently referring to the bird as "critically endangered". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cameron.coombe (talk • contribs) 05:09, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

New Important Bird Area?
[edit]A good-size colony has made its home right in the centre of Christchurch, on a demolition site known as "Philip Carter's swimming pool". Given that the Catholic Church is in the process of buying up that block for their replacement cathedral, I suspect it won't be long before there's media coverage. I've taken a few photos; quite an impressive sight actually. Schwede66 21:02, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
