Largest in the UK

[edit]

Hexus is much bigger than Bit-tech and based in the UK. I do not believe this point to be valid. If no one can come up with an accurate citation, it should be removed 82.47.0.158 (talk) 02:29, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hexus does not cater for computer modding/gaming/hardware enthusiasts and, aside from the inflated traffic claims on the Hexus pages, there is no proof as to how big Hexus is. (82.152.211.118 (talk) 10:01, 20 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]

"Hexus does not cater for computer modding/gaming/hardware enthusiasts" Subjective - There is an entire site (gaming hexus.net) dedicated to gaming by the looks of it, and the number of new posts per day in the hardware section of the forum is fairly decent from a quick glance. Its not really fair to say that there wouldn't be enthusiasts there. Either way, I don't really care which is bigger, it was more to do with an unverified claim. I am not familiar enough to know how many staff either employ / turnover / site rankings to say for certain (reading back my last post it came across a bit too much of a statement and not a question - apologies) 82.47.0.158 (talk) 19:52, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

'Paid By Nintendo'

[edit]

"Joe frequently features sections of his reviews told from a biased point of view, as if he were paid by Nintendo."; why is this sentence even here? It's about as encyclopaedic as my anus. I don't dare remove it lest I get flamed. --boiled_elephant (talk) 03:58, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Be bold! It's unsourced and ambiguous (is it a joke, or a criticism? Is it trivial, or libellous?), so we should lose it. --McGeddon (talk) 11:55, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Unsourced, almost certainly not intended as a joke (and even if it was, Wikipedia is not the place for such humour) and such an unfounded allegation is definitely libellous. As such I have removed the offending sentence. - -NotHugo- - (talk) 23:31, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Needs updating to reflect the post Dennis-purchase situation. - -NotHugo- - (talk) 23:35, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
