Rathnagiri In Bison Valleu
[edit]There was once a place called Kuttappan City in Bison Valley , situated on the way to Josegiri from Tea Company. In 2011, investors were attracted to this place due to its panoramic view towards Chokramudi Hills, and plans were made to convert it into a tourist destination. At that time, I was in charge of a nationalized bank.
However, I felt that the name "Kuttappan City" did not do justice to the beauty of the place. Therefore, I decided to change its name and reached out to a youth club in the area to discuss my idea. They were very receptive to it, and after several name options were discussed, the majority opted for "Rathnagiri."
I put the new name in all official communications for that area, and the Grama Panchayat also passed a resolution regarding the change of name and put the new name on signboards. Today, nobody remembers the old name, nor the person behind the change.
Overall, I believe that the new name, "Rathnagiri," better reflects the natural beauty of the area and will continue to attract visitors for years to come. 2409:40F3:1098:243D:3497:C2FF:5B93:68BE (talk) 10:13, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
