De-stubbed
[edit]This article appears to be of an appropriate length for the subject matter under discussion. It is also appropriately categorized and wikified.
By nature, stubbing and tagging articles devalues them, giving them an aura of unreliability and making them seem less credible. As part of my personal campaign to free up articles that have been stubbed and tagged without cause, this article has been disenstubbified.
If any editor disagrees, and would rather re-stub it than improve it by adding actual content, please discuss here. The Editrix 21:08, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Bisht is important in the Arab Levant
[edit]An anonymous user has deleted information regarding importance of bisht in the Arab Levant. I have restored that information. (Lebanesebebe123 (talk) 02:22, 19 December 2022 (UTC))
Relevance of Lionel Messi
[edit]I fail to see the relevance of mentioning that Lionel Messi wore it at the 2022 FIFA world cup. Wikipedia is not a fan site or a blog. Jonipoon (talk) 20:12, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
Relevance of Lionel Messi
[edit]Reference should be made to Lionel Messi as the robe was hardly known to the Western world before Lionel Messi wore it as he lifted the trophy, in front of billions of viewers. Making it a significant historical moment, etched in people's memories. 92.234.68.20 (talk) 21:29, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
- I was originally questioning it being mentioned in the introduction of the article, which is irrelevant. A minor reference to him wearing it under "Popular culture" is fine, since it's approved according to Wikipedia:IPC. Jonipoon (talk) 10:59, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
Suitable picture
[edit]Are we able to locate a better reference pic for this article?
The current one is a very low quality image that has then been colorized and a watermark of the hobbyist added on top. If this is a contemporary piece of clothing (and suitable topic for a full wiki article) it should be easy enough to find a suitable pic that meets license and MOS requirements.
