Bishops
[edit]I have added the early bishops and their possible dates from Handbook of British Chronology. Some may be fictional.
Is it really correct to refer to the earlier bishops as "Anglican"? Surely they were Catholic!
I would suggest that the list should be a separate article, without any reference to sects.
Hovite 23:15, 26 September 2005 (UTC) Surley there canot have been any doubt about the religious convictions of the early English Church. The Normans were at the crusades that is where the Romanesque style of Architecture derived from and many of the post 1066 religious structures in England. If the Normans participated in the crusades they must have recognised the pope. Was62.136.96.38 19:14, 10 December 2006 (UTC) there a word for Anglican in Saxon or Norman times?
- This was settled elsewhere, the terminology is to be avoided -- SECisek 09:01, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
CROSS BONES CEMETRY SOUTHWARK
[edit]This section should be removed because it is part of a self promoting fiction by a one time actor and is pure fiction.88.108.234.95 (talk) 16:52, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Transfer of Channel Islands
[edit]What is stated in this article is contradicted by what is stated in the current footnote 16 to the Article Tim Dakin.[1] The cited news item appears to supersede what is stated in the Bishop of Winchester article, but it actually refers to a proposal, not to its implementation. Is anyone able to clarify both Articles? Ntmr (talk) 12:34, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

Archiving of Diocese of Winchester website
[edit]The official website of the Diocese of Winchester seems to resist attempts to link to it, or to archive it using a reference which will be recognised by the Wayback Machine. Can anyone please explain this and sort it out? Ntmr (talk) 18:39, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
