- Biryu Baekje is a well-known entity, one of the two proto-Baekje states founded in the Seoul area by Goguryeo immigrants. Onjo found his state at Wiryeseong, which is present-day Seoul, and Biryu found his state at Michuhol(미추홀), which is present-day Incheon. Michuhol wasn't a very habitable place, so Biryu's people began dissipating and migrating away. Feeling ashamed of his incompetence compared to his brother, Onjo, he committed suicide. At least that is the mainstream view of Korean scholars. Some believe, based on some Chinese historical texts that suggest Baekje also held territories in western Manchuria with its own capital, that Biryu Baekje was another "Baekje" in western Manchuria. So the current article represents a minority POV.
- I believe this is an article worth keeping. It only has major POV issues and needs to be rewritten extensively to represent the mainstream POV. I also believe the more appropriate name for this article is Michuhol, and Biryu Baekje should be a redirect to Michuhol. Cydevil38 00:28, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I agree with you. I found the name "biryu baekje" quite annoying. I found nothing related to that name in any of my books. but my references claim that Biryu committed suicide, after having a war with Onjo. Odst 01:20, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
