[edit]

This stub needs some fleshing out, specifically, citations.

I realize that some of the assertions don't yet have citations. Will try to get them shortly. Or if someoen else wants to beat me to the punch, feel free to list articles relating to bipolar nebula formation, etc. I think all the example nebulae are fairly relevant and well documented. Mostly entries (photos with descriptive text) from NASA's APOD and HubbleSite documenting the nebulae and their designations. Those should be pretty non-controversial. If you happen to know of other bipolar nebulae, feel free to add them to the list and document them in ref's as well.

Anything folks care to add or document on formation would be appreciated. Info relating bipolar nebulae to similar planetary nebulae, often they share similar features, would be appreciated. But bipolar nebulae and planetary nebulae aren't synonymous, I don't think; so I'm pretty sure this should remain a separate article. IE, not all planetary nebulae are distinctly bipolar. And not all bipolar nebulae are planetary nebulae (I'm pretty sure). Still, they share enough similar morphologies in a number of cases that it might be good to play up their similarities in those cases. Any research done regarding the two would be good, also.

Hope everyone finds this article useful and worthwhile. Cheers! Mgmirkin 23:45, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
