Name change 1937-1940

[edit]

A remark on the history section: The web source,[1] from the TH Bingen's own webpage, claims that the Technikum was renamed "Ingenieurschule" in 1937. The brief historical article in the Studenten-Kurier refers to the this only with the description that "In 1937, the Technikum in Bingen was officially awarded the status of an Ingenieurschule".[2] The book source, a monograph on the period 1928-1939 written by a professional local historian, makes no mention of any change in name until 25. November 1940, when it was "allowed to call itself Ingenieurschule"[3] – whether that meant abandoning the former name remains open. Given this uncertainty, I did not mention this particular name change at all for now. Felix QW (talk) 10:12, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
