notability
[edit]Has Bindu Basini received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject? If not, it does not meet the Wikipedia:Notability criterion for having its own article in Wikipedia. —Stepheng3 (talk) 01:33, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, Bindu Basini Boys' School don't have much source online, but it has been sourced in offline material. It is one of two major schools in Tangail District and is notable for its place in local politics, education and alumni. It is no less notable than other articles in Category:Schools in Bangladesh. Secondary sources would be cited later. --নাফী ম. সাধ nafSadhtalk | contribs 04:29, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- As of Wikipedia:Notability_(high_schools) and other high school related pages on Wikipedia, it do not seem that notability of schools need many citations, as schools do not come in news too much but remain as part of students memory and life. I think notability guideline for schools should be clarified and established before. My opinion is that, all accredited schools with enrollment size over 200 and functioning for more than 50 years can be allowed to be in Wikipedia as article. --নাফী ম. সাধ nafSadhtalk | contribs 06:57, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
