The definition is inconsistent. What does active metal layer even mean? How does a metal 'contract' when an electric field is applied across it? Metals are conductors, not capacitors by themselves. According to the information on this page and the unimorph page, this page describes an unimorph.
I will edit this page over the next couple of days unless this information is changed. --~~
