Orphaned references in Billy Paul

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Billy Paul's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "allmusic singles":

  • From War of the Gods (album): "Billy Paul US singles chart history". allmusic.com. Retrieved 2011-10-13.
  • From The Three Degrees: "The Three Degrees US singles chart history". allmusic.com. Retrieved 2010-01-28.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 21:41, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Still alive

[edit]

According to several websites, Billy Paul is still alive. He was just a victim of a celebrity death hoax. I can't post the sites because Wikipedia will not let me. Horizonlove (talk) 00:21, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

North Philadelphia

[edit]

Someone needs to rewrite this sentence: "Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania"

"He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in the North Philadelphia section of that city", or something like that could work.

There is no town or city called North Philadelphia in PA. Its a section of the city, just like Kensington, Northeast Philadelphia, Center City, etc, but you will not see that 'town' on a birth/death certifcate. Could soemone clean it up? I don't think I could get it quite correct, I have enough trouble attempting to put in any breaks between paragraphs, and I know my limitations. 69.249.125.97 (talk) 19:22, 26 April 2016 (UTC) BrattySoul[reply]

Billy Paul's tour in Sao Paulo Brazil in 2012

[edit]

The backing Vocalist that sang "I Will Survive" on that tour with Billy Paul was Shirley Lites from Philadelphia Pa., not Anna Jordan. You can verify that by contacting Blanche Williams, Billy's wife. 2600:4040:7376:F000:21D5:DFEC:2548:422B (talk) 22:59, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
